Amazon Jungle

Tomorrow we are headed back to Peru for 17 days on a mission trip to the Amazon jungle. We will be leading a group of friends from a church in Tennessee to the jungle. They have never been there before. We will be visiting and ministering to local tribes and we will have a baptism in the Amazon River.

Yes, there will be piranhas lurking all around us when we baptize in the Amazon, so please pray for us. Normally the piranhas leave us alone as long as no one is bleeding - so I'm not even going to shave between now and the time of the baptism next week!

Beginning later on this week, I will be blogging from Lima, Peru, the capital city, as well as from Iquitos, Peru, the largest Peruvian city in the Amazon. The jungle trip is going to be a blast, so be sure to read all upcoming blog posts about it and, once again, please pray for our safety and for the various ministry and evangelistic opportunities that we will have in the jungle as we become the hands and feet of Jesus to the tribes and locals there, all along the Amazon River.
