Thomas Jefferson was the main author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States. He had a passion for liberty and for justice.
Jefferson once remarked:
"God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."
Isaiah 30:18 (NKJV):
"For the Lord is a God of justice ...."
A just nation is a God-blessed nation.
