In Philippians 3:8 (NKJV), the Apostle Paul writes, "Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ ...."
Paul suffered the loss of all things. Absolutely everything.
Yet he counted them all as rubbish.
It is only when we can reach the same point and it is only when we can say the same thing in our own lives - when we are willing to suffer the loss of all things and then count them all as rubbish - that we truly can come to know and to gain Jesus Christ in a personal and in a redemptive sense.
Are you truly willing to suffer the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order to gain Christ?
Few can truly do so.
