Haiti

In August of 2007, there was a devastating earthquake in Peru which registered 8.0 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter of the massive quake was about 5 hours south of Lima. 500 people were killed. Work continues to this very day in reconstructing the areas hit hardest by the killer quake.

With that in mind, here in Peru we empathize greatly with our brothers and sisters in Haiti, who also are trying to recover after this week's earthquake devastation there.

Now is the time for pastors, churches, and ministries around the world to reach out to Haiti and to offer help in whatever way possible.

James 2:26 (NIV) says, "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

1 John 3:17 (NIV) says, "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?"

Now is the time to show your faith through your deeds in Haiti.

Now is the time to show God's love in Haiti.

Will you?
