MLK

The heroic and martyred American civil rights leader, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., was born on this day in 1929. Dr. King would have turned 82 years old, were he alive today.

A few of Dr. King's most poignant and impactful statements:

1. "To be a Christian without praying is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."

2. "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

3. "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

4. "The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict."

5. "A man who won't die for something is not fit to live."

What are you willing to die for?
