Walt Disney once said, "Courage is the main quality of leadership. Usually it implies risk."
Leadership = the courage to take risks.
Are you courageous?
Do you have the intestinal fortitude to take risks?
Joshua, when he was succeeding Moses as the leader of the Israelites, was told no less than five different times to be strong and courageous. Joshua was told not to be afraid, and not to be discouraged. Joshua was told that God would never leave him nor forsake him, and that God would be with him wherever he went.
It's the same for you and for me as it was for Joshua. It's very easy for us today to become afraid and discouraged, and to get caught up in a maelstrom of worries and fear and doubt. But God wants us to look upward, not inward, for strength. When we look upward, instead of inward, for our strength, then we claim the same promise as Joshua, that God will never leave us nor forsake us, and that He will be with us wherever we go.
Be courageous. Take risks. Lead boldly. Don't be afraid. God's got your back.
